President
Lia Silva
Lia Silva is stepping into her first season as President after three years of dedicated service on the Curtis Park Seahawks board, most recently as our Sponsorship Coordinator. A proud swim mom of two athletes who also compete with the RAYS during the winter, Lia brings her trademark energy and organization to everything she does. Known affectionately as our “Concessions Queen,” we always know it's the start of the season when we get a photo of Lia pushing a fully loaded Costco cart up to checkout! Her enthusiasm, leadership, and commitment to our swimmers make her an anchor of the Seahawks community.

Vice President
Kim Kingman
Kim Kingman brings fun and heart to everything she does with the Curtis Park Seahawks. Known as the team’s “fun mom,” Kim has been part of the Seahawks family for five seasons and has served on the board for four. A proud mom of two Curtis Park swimmers, she’s stepping into her new role as Vice President this season while continuing to plan the creative, memory-making activities our swimmers love. Her enthusiasm and welcoming spirit help make every season feel special for every family.

Secretary
Valerie Hombach
Valerie Hombach has been part of the Curtis Park Seahawks family since 2019 and joined the board two years ago as our Awards Coordinator. A proud swim mom to one Seahawks swimmer who also competes with the RAYS in the winter, Valerie is known for her calm organization and behind-the-scenes dedication. Whether she’s helping new families learn the ropes or keeping team details running smoothly, she brings order and heart to everything she does. This season, Valerie steps into her new role as Secretary, continuing her quiet but invaluable leadership on the board.

Treasurer
Sara Matczac
Now in her fifth season as Treasurer, Sara Matzac is the definition of dependable — and truly irreplaceable! A proud mom of two Seahawks swimmers, Sara keeps our finances (and the team) running smoothly with her trademark organization and attention to detail. If she’s not poolside cheering, you might spot her fitting in a quick run during practice. She’s also a big fan of Fun Fridays, always ready to join in the excitement — and she’s usually the one making sure there’s at least one “healthy” snack option on the table.

RSL Representative
Shanna Aberle
Shanna Aberle joins the Curtis Park Seahawks board as our new RSL Representative, bringing her trademark focus and structure to the role. A dedicated swim mom of two teenagers who have both coached with the team in recent seasons, Shanna has been a steady presence on the pool deck for years. This season, she’ll be passing the torch of managing the volunteer table to Jessica Stewart while representing the Seahawks at RSL meetings. When she’s not keeping the team organized, you’ll find Shanna embracing her adventurous side — she even backpacked through the Rockies last year!
